Tai Chi Instructor Training

The Deyin instructor training programme is structure into modules covering various aspect of the Tai Chi system, such as Hand form, Weapons & push Hands and also principles, philosophy of the arts, health benefits and teaching skills etc. These modules can be taken in any order and based on participants own ability and time. However, we recommend particpants to start on the basic modules and work their way up to the more advance modules.
Instructor Levels
There are 4 instructor levels and through continuous training and gaining expereince through teaching, instructor will progress from the basic level to senior level instructorship.
- Instructor Level 1 - standard (min 2 years of practice)
- Instructor Level 2 - Advance 1 (min 5 years)
- Instructor Level 3 - Advance 2 (min 10 years)
- Instructor Level 4 - Senior Instructor (min 15 years)

Once qualified instructors will be able to teach as a Deyin Institute instructor and have the option to join the British council for Chinese Martial Arts & Tai Chi Union for Great Britain. Instructors can also obtain teaching insurance from the BCCMA through the institute.
How to become a Deyin Instructor
Just simply sign up (min 2 years of Tai Chi practice required) and take part in instructor modules organised by Deyin, and collect Certificates of Participation given after each module. Particpants who have collected 5 certificates can apply for instructor assessment (to be held once we have 5 or more applicants). Upon passing the assessment successfully participants will be qualified as Deyin Institute Instructors.
As continuous development and progression, all Deyin Instructors are required to participate a minimum of 1 standard seminar per year plus no less than one instructor module or instructor refreshers every two years in order to validate their annual instructor memberhsip with the institute as well as the right to obtain BCCMA insurance through the institute.
Instructors can take advantage of more than 30 instructor training modules for the neccessary improvement and knowledge in their quest for better standard of practice and teaching. It is also vital for their progression to next instructor level.
