The programme offers an exciting selection to enthusiasts of all levels:
Yi Jin Jing (tendon changing classics) New! A set of Health Qigong, which is used as a part of rehabilitation programme in Chinese hospitals. The result of the scientific study shows that Yi Jin Jing can improve the functions of the cardiovascular, respiratory and digestive system, raise the ability to balance, improve flexibility, and strengthen muscles as well as reduce anxiety/depression. This workshop will be led by Faye Yip with the support of Prof. Li Deyin. New! Traditional Yang Style Sword (Jian) Form consists of 56 postures, is the basis on which 32 Step Tai Chi Sword came from. This routine embodies the essence of sword's smooth, agile, yielding nature making it a core part of Yang Style Discipline. It's beautiful to watch, challenging and rewarding to learn! The one day seminar will cover the first half of this form, and the second half will be completed next year. Sunday 6 th July (10am – 4pm Choose one Discipline) New! Traditional Yang Style Sabre (Dao) Form is another essential study of Yang Style. Among the 18 commonly used weapons in Chinese Martial Arts, Sabre/Dao is at the top of the list. This Sabre Routine is called Taiji 13 Sabres, referring to the classic ‘Taiji 13 (hand) Posutres' describing the 13 main techniques. Due to the demand on time and practice of learning new techniques, we aim to continue this programme again next year. 24 Step Tai Chi Form : We will keep this ever popular form available for both beginners and improvers. This routine is a flagship item for the Deyin Institute as Faye's grand uncle GM Li Tian Ji was the Director responsible for the introduction of it. Pleasure often comes from understanding the simple and basic techniques!
